Earlyarts new appointment

Earlyarts the professional development network for people working creatively with young children and families, announced today that Nathan Archer has been appointed as Chair of their Advisory Board.

Former member of the National Childcare Stakeholder Group at the then DCFS and currently Director of The Children’s House Consultancy, Nathan has been involved in early years education for the past ten years. “I am very flattered and consider it a real privilege to be asked to Chair Earlyarts.” Says Nathan, “This role brings together my background in early years and arts management and is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work with such a vibrant and dynamic organisation. “

Nathan previously worked for the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) and North East Lincolnshire EYDCP taking the lead on the Neighbourhood Nurseries initiative. He has also been involved in developing Early Excellence Centres and in developing childcare partnerships with the NHS and an FE college, and in raising substantial revenue for childcare development. He is a member of the Montessori Schools Association Advisory Group and an early years training social enterprise. Nathan is currently leading on a BIG Lottery funded Family Learning Programme and training contract for Lincolnshire County Council.

“Nathan has been one of the stalwart supporters of Earlyarts’ work from the beginning, and brings a deep understanding of both the arts and early years sectors,” says Ruth Churchill Dower, Director of Earlyarts. “We’re thrilled to have someone of Nathan’s experience offering his insights and leadership in these exciting times ahead. “
